19. To ask the Taoiseach to outline the current unemployment rate, including youth unemployment statistics; how these figures have shifted in response to recent economic policies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [42369/25]

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is the official source of labour market estimates for the State. The most recent LFS figures available are for Q1 2025.

Table 1 below shows the unemployment (ILO) rate for persons aged 15–74 years and for persons aged 15-24 years (youth unemployment rate) in Ireland for Q1 2020 – Q1 2025.

The unemployment rate for persons aged 15-74 in Q1 2025 was 4.3%, up 0.2 percentage points from a rate of 4.1% in Q1 2024. The unemployment rate for persons aged 15-24 in Q1 2025 was 9.5%, up 0.7 percentage points from a rate of 8.8% in Q1 2024.
