79. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to provide a list of the spend over the past five years by each public body on the procurement of services to develop or maintain digital and IT systems, in tabular form (details supplied). [6448/25]

The total spend over the past five years (calendar years 2020 to 2024 inclusive) by my Department on the procurement of services to develop or maintain digital and IT systems is as follows:

dNote that this initial response relates only to expenditure within my Department and does not include information on the expenditure on the procurement of services to develop or maintain digital and IT systems within Offices and Agencies under the aegis of my Department.

Information on expenditure on the procurement of services to develop or maintain digital and IT systems within Offices and Agencies under the aegis of my Department has been requested from those bodies and once available, this information will be provided to the Deputy by way of written reply.

I note that the Deputy has asked separate 2 separate questions (6450/25 and 6451/25) in relation to the procurement of services to develop or maintain a website- the expenditure data above relates only to the development or maintenance of digital and IT systems and excludes expenditure on the development of websites. It also excludes software license costs paid to external vendors for use of those systems and excludes expenditure areas such as equipment, infrastructure, telecoms, security etc.

I note that the Deputy has asked separate 2 separate questions (6450/25 and 6451/25) in relation to the procurement of services to develop or maintain a website- the expenditure data below relates only to the development or maintenance of digital and IT systems and excludes expenditure on the development of websites within my Department as these have been addressed separately in the responses to those questions.

For clarity, the above figures also exclude software license costs paid to external vendors for the use of digital and IT systems as well as excluding other expenditure areas not related to digital and IT systems such as expenditure on equipment, infrastructure, telecoms, security etc.
