I have been informed by the Garda authorities that it is planned to build a new Area Headquarters in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal. The Commissioners of Public Works, who have responsibility for the provision, refurbishment and maintenance of Garda buildings, have identified a suitable site for the project and negotiations are ongoing with the vendor. I assure the Deputy that there will be no avoidable delay in progressing this project.
