The matters referred to by the Deputy relate to correspondence supplied by the Department of Education to An Garda Síochána on 17 December, 2006 following a meeting between members of An Garda Síochána and officials from the Department of Education. I am informed by the Garda authorities that there was no further correspondence between the Gardaí and the Department of Education in relation to the said documentation. I am further informed that Garda investigations into allegations of physical abuse at the Children's Centre the subject of this question are continuing.
