I have received notice from Senator McCarthy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide urgent funding for CoAction West Cork in order that it can provide its essential services for the community.

I have also received notice from Senator Leyden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to outline the reasons for the recent introduction of a charge for coarse fishing, in the form of fishing permits, in selected areas on the River Suck.

I have also received notice from Senator Quinn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the current position on the implementation of the Education (Welfare) Act 2002 in view of growing public concern about the level of school truancy.

I have also received notice from Senator Kitt of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the present position on Gaelscoil Cheithearnaith, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators McCarthy, Leyden and Quinn and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Kitt may give notice of the matter he wishes to raise on another day.
