Before proceeding with statements regarding the attack in Paris, on behalf of all Members, I welcome His Excellency the Ambassador of France, Mr. Thébault, to the Distinguished Visitors' Gallery today. On behalf of all Members of Dáil Éireann, I extend our deepest sympathies to the families and colleagues of those who died so tragically in Paris exactly one week ago. The links between our two nations are strong and enduring and I would like to express our support and solidarity to the people of France at this very difficult time. The Ambassador is very welcome.
