For former apprentices seeking proof of successful completion of their apprenticeship programme, SOLAS recommends applying for a Record of Attainment.
A Record of Attainment (ROA) is issued to craftspeople who meet the criteria for the former national craft certificate. An individual seeking this should contact their local Education and Training Board (ETB) and Training Advisor, who will provide the application form and explain the application process. Once the ETB has approved the application, they will send it to SOLAS and the applicant will be issued with a ROA and a craft card.
If an individual encounters any difficulty contacting their local ETB, they should contact the National Apprenticeship Office by email at apprenticeship@nao.ie with “Record of Attainment” in the subject line and include relevant details. A copy of the registration record can also be requested by email or through direct contact with SOLAS.
