Our Consul General in Sydney engages on a regular basis with the Governor of New South Wales, the office of which currently held by Her Excellency, Margaret Beazley. To date in 2025, there have been four meetings between the Consul General and Governor Beazley.
These meetings have included a formal reception hosted by the Governor for the touring British and Irish Lions rugby squad and a farewell dinner hosted for the former Consul General, Ms Rosie Keane.
Following the appointment of Ms Lorraine Christian as our new Consul General in Sydney last August, she has met with Governor Beazley twice.
