I can advise the Deputy that my department, in the timeframe available, has the following information readily available from 2020 to 2025 where a final cost is known and has been borne by my department.
In order to inform the Deputy to the fullest extent my department has listed all contracts entered into with private consultancy firms and the reason for the contract. In relation to the procurement of these, my department complies with Irish and EU regulations and guidelines.
The Deputy may also be interested to know that the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer provides IT services to the Department of Finance. My department also engages the National Shared Services Office for the provision of financial management systems through a shared services arrangement. Similarly, the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation provides internal audit services and the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General is the external auditor for my department.
