The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) is a national programme administered by my Department and co-funded by the European Union. It provides reception and integration supports to International Protection applicants, beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, and other third-country nationals in Ireland.

Applications to the next round of funding for the AMIF are expected to open by mid 2026.

My Department also administers EU funding under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) . The Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training Programme (EIST), is Ireland’s ESF+ programme for the 2021 to 2027 period. The Integration and Employment of Migrants (IEM) stream of the EIST 2021-2027 Programme is aimed at legally resident migrants who are experiencing barriers to participation and employment because of language difficulties, lack of training or social exclusion.

The Minister of State with responsibility for Migration, Colm Brophy TD, recently announced the newest IEM open call for proposals earlier this year. This call closed to applications on 11 September 2025. The appraisal process is currently ongoing and is expected to be finalised by year end.

While other EU funds provide supports, I am informed that these are confined and do not issue open calls for applications.
