714. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if he will ensure that the provision of a refuge centre in counties Cavan and Monaghan for victims of domestic abuse is progressed without further delay; the expected timeline for this centre to become operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Combatting all forms of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence (DSGBV) and ensuring that victims and survivors receive the support and care they need is an absolute priority for me.
Since its establishment last year, Cuan has been working to accelerate the delivery of refuge spaces across the country.
A key priority for Cuan is the development of a domestic violence refuge in the Cavan and Monaghan region.
As the Deputy's question relates to an update regarding work being carried out under the remit of Cuan, I have referred it to the Agency for direct response.
