As the Deputy will be aware, under the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024, the Garda Commissioner is the Accounting Officer for the Garda Vote. The Garda Trainee Recruitment Campaign was funded from that Vote. Accordingly, no expenditure from my Department’s Vote was incurred on advertising for this campaign.
However, to be of assistance to the Deputy I have sought this information from the Garda authorities and I will reply to the Deputy directly once this information is to hand.
