The Drug Treatment Court (DTC) in Louth, operating as a pilot, encompasses principles of the National Drug Rehabilitation framework, i.e. assessment, care planning, client consent, a shared care model and exit planning.

The DTC was not directly funded, but rather funding from my Department is provided to the Red Door Project in Drogheda to employ a DTC Liaison Case Worker. My Department will continue to fund the DTC Liaison Case Worker post until Q3 2025.

Options for mainstream funding for the DTC Liaison Case Worker are currently being examined and will be determined in due course.
