I am aware of the issues raised by the Irish Farmers Association. As part of the budgetary process, I met with them and they raised the concerns of their members as outlined in their comprehensive Pre Budget submission. Many of the matters raised in the submission are primarily policy matters for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Marine, with whom I am working closely on preparing the expenditure elements of the Budget. I will not be making any public comment on these matters in advance of the budget, which will be published in due course.
