Building Regulations set the legal requirements to provide for the health, safety and welfare of people in and around buildings. My Department has no function in assessing whether any particular proposal, or any completed works, complies with the Building Regulations. The National Standards Authority of Ireland, NSAI Agrément, facilitates the assessment and certification of innovative products and processes.
