To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the breakdown of the total amount spent in each local authority area on housing assistance payment from January 2025 to June 2026, by county; the number of tenancies in each local authority area that these HAP figures are sustaining, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department publishes comprehensive programme-level statistics on social housing delivery activity in all local authority areas on the statistics page of its website. Data in relation to the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP), including funding provided to end Q1 2025, can be found on my Department’s website at this link:

Funding of €482m has been allocated for the HAP Scheme for 2025. Funding for future years will be agreed on an annual basis as part of the annual Estimates process.
