The school to which the Deputy refers has been granted capital funding for the provision of two mainstream classrooms under my Department’s Additional School Accommodation scheme.

On approval of the project the school authority was issued with detailed information on the delivery process which includes details on funding pathways. On initiation of the project the school authority was issued with the first tranche of funding which issues over 3 instalments. Department officials have made contact with the school authority recently and I can confirm that the second tranche of funding is currently being processed and will issue to the school authority in the coming days. The final tranche of funding will issue to the school authority on receipt of final drawdown documentation which will be subject to review and approval by Department officials.
