My Department provides a wide range of grant funding to support communities across Ireland. The following table outlines the total number of grant payments issued for each of the last five years, along with the total value of grant payments for each year. It should be noted that approved grants are often paid in tranches with each tranche registered as a separate payment. Some grant schemes are administered by agencies, for example, the Community Services Programme, which is administered by Pobal. The total value of the payments detailed below include all grant funding utilising the funds voted for the Department, whether paid directly by the Department or paid to agencies for further payment on behalf of the Department.
