441. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of scrambler/quad related injuries-accidents recorded by hospitals; and if this information is not available, if there are plans to collate this data for road safety research purposes. [41906/25]

Given the HSE's role in overseeing hospital care in Ireland, the Minister for Health may be better placed to answer questions on injury data captured in clinical settings.
The Deputy may wish to note that under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has a statutory remit in the compilation and reporting on fatal, serious and minor injury collisions on public roads. The RSA receives collision data from An Garda Síochána for this purpose and produces official statistics to help develop evidence-based road safety interventions.
Given the RSA's role in this matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct response on any additional relevant information it may hold. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
