The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) is an independent, statutory body under the aegis of my Department. The WRC’s primary functions include the inspection of employment law compliance, the provision of information on employment law, mediation, adjudication, conciliation, and advisory services.

The Programme for Government commits to support the central role of the WRC together with the Labour Court in industrial relations and employment rights.

I am satisfied that the funding allocated to the WRC is sufficient to enable it carry out its important work.

The attached table sets out the budget allocation for the WRC in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
