The Community Sport Facilities Fund (CSFF) provides that, if the land owner is entitled to apply for CSFF funding in its own right, then the landlord must make the application on behalf of the sports user.

In relation to the application referred to by the Deputy, grant funding of €45,981 was provisionally allocated in 2024 to Fingal County Council, as the land owner, under the 2023 round of the CSFF. Formal approval issued from my Department on 3 July 2025 to commence works on the project. Any issue regarding changes to the costs of the development is a matter, in the first instance, for the local authority and the sports club.
