I am fully committed to engaging with my colleague, Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Christopher O’Sullivan TD, on this matter.
My Department engaged in an inter-departmental meeting with Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Local Authorities Waters Programme or LAWPRO, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and Wexford County Council last week on this topic. During that meeting, my Department confirmed our commitment to fully engage with the relevant local authority and all state agencies as we seek to address the challenges facing our Lady's Island Lake.
Indeed, my Department had a further meeting earlier this week with Wexford County Council, who are leading on the project.
