The CLÁR programme is one of a number of supports available to communities for the development of recreational facilities such as playgrounds. Measure 1 of the CLÁR programme is administered by the local authorities who review applications received locally and can select up to 15 projects for onward submission to my Department for consideration for funding each year. I understand that an application for Silvermines playground was submitted to Tipperary County Council for consideration under Measure 1 of the CLÁR 2025 programme but was not subsequently selected by Tipperary County Council for submission to my Department.

In the event that an application for this amenity is submitted in the future, it will be reviewed and assessed in the same manner as all applications under the programme.
