To ask the Taoiseach the number of judicial review cases his Department has defended in each of the past ten years; the number in relation to which proceedings are pending or continuing; the number of cases which were lost and won, respectively, in the same period; the number of cases that settled in the past ten years. The Department of the Taoiseach has been involved in the defence of eight judicial review cases during the period specified. Five of the eight cases have concluded and three cases are continuing. Of the five cases concluded, two were dismissed, one was refused and the remaining two were referred back to the Department for fresh decisions to be made.
