The Housing and Infrastructure Unit is part of the Economic Division within my Department. It supports me and the Government in delivering relevant commitments in the Programme for Government.
This includes supporting the work of the Cabinet Committee on Housing which works to ensure a coordinated, cross Government, approach to the implementation of Programme for Government commitments regarding housing policy.
The Unit also supports the work of the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure which was established when this Government came into office and oversees Programme for Government commitments in relation to infrastructure delivery.
As set out in the Programme for Government, Government is prioritising the delivery of housing and critical, growth enhancing, infrastructure. We recognise both as essential to our economy, our national competitiveness, and to meet the social needs of our country.
