I am informed by the Public Appointment Service (PAS) that the AP 2024 competition was launched on the 4 October 2024, and the first panels were formed on the 15 April 2025. The assignment of candidates from these panels has commenced in recent weeks. The panels from this competition are expected to remain open until the 12 December 2025.

AP 2024 Open Inter-Departmental
Assignments (to date) 9 2
A further 15 candidates are currently allocated to, or in clearance for, a position. Another round of interviews was completed during the week 26 – 30 May (with 32 candidates invited to interview for a number of locations).

Workforce Planning data is currently being sought by PAS' Client Relations Management team from Departments and Offices for Q3 (July to September) which will give an indication of the number of vacancies to be filled. This will play a part in determining the number of interviews that may take place over the coming months.
