I can advise the Deputy that based on the information supplied, it has unfortunately not been possible to locate any application for the person referred to. Please note, that if the person concerned is an Irish national then they do not need to apply for permission from my Department to return to Ireland.

If more information can be provided my officials can continue to search for the specific application.

Some information that may assist my officals is:

  • First / given name of applicant.
  • Family / surname of applicant
  • Date of birth of applicant
  • Person ID Number
  • Application number
As an Oireachtas member, you can also request the status of individual immigration cases by e-mail, using the Oireachtas Mail facility at: IMoireachtasmail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Question process.
