Since taking office in the Department on 23 January I have attended scores of meetings, both internal and external, with departmental staff, stakeholders, NGOs, other Departments and Ministers, including Cabinet and Cabinet Committee meetings. In addition to attending meetings, I have been building knowledge of the vast remit of my Department, the various priority work areas, and considering a very broad range of submissions and issues.

Much of my work to date has necessarily involved written and verbal briefings, many of which are naturally confidential, reflecting the ongoing deliberative process. A comprehensive list of all of the briefings that have been prepared for my consideration is not readily available and its compilation would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work.
