Work on the review of the National Development Plan is underway across Government to inform effective prioritisation of scarce resources in line with the ambition of the review to allocate funding towards the supporting infrastructure required to deliver 300,000 homes by 2030 and to boost our international competitiveness.
As part of this review, a focused public consultation will take place, which is expected to commence in May. The consultation will provide an opportunity to gather views from interested stakeholders and members of the public on:
- the priorities for the review taking account of the Programme for Government objectives to improve our infrastructure, especially energy, water, transport and health digitalisation,
- the importance of effective prioritisation to achieve the maximum return from the public funds available for investment, and
- any relevant trade-offs the Government should consider in boosting the delivery of infrastructure.
