To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the amount of rent the OPW has paid for an office (details supplied) since it opened, in tabular form; when the rent review for this office is due next; and if the OPW has the ability to seek a reduction in rent rates in the next rent review period. The Commissioners of Public Works (OPW) have leased office space in Donaghmede Shopping Centre for the Probation Service, since 2000. The OPW is currently in occupation of the premises under a yearly tenancy while negotiations on the terms and conditions, including the rental level, of a new lease are ongoing.
The annual rent paid in respect of the premises since 2008 is shown in the table below. The data in respect of the earlier years, 2000 – 2007, is being compiled and will be forwarded directly to the Deputy when available.
