Following its research and consultation with survivors, their families and advocates, the Working Group is currently preparing a draft report on its deliberations, including accompanying guidelines for local authorities.
The Working Group met last week to progress matters and drafting is now at an advanced stage. The Working Group will meet again in the coming weeks to agree a final draft report and guidelines for my approval. Once approved, it is intended that the report and guidelines will be circulated to local authorities for their guidance, and published.
My Department has also met with the Special Advocate for Survivors of Institutional Abuse in recent days to discuss the report and its progress.
