The Department's role in relation to tourism lies primarily in the area of national tourism policy and implementation of that policy is a matter for the tourism agencies, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
I understand that neither my Department, or any agency under the Department’s remit, have, since 1 November 2024, entered into any contract in respect of the hotel referenced by the Deputy, nor have they had any discussions, or received any offers, in respect of using this premises for any reason.
