I am advised that the Emergency Aeromedical Service (EAS) resumed operations from its base at Custume Barracks, Athlone on the 18 March 2025. This follows the completion of a €1.5 million upgrade to the EAS hangar, which necessitated a temporary relocation of the service to Baldonnel. The new, state-of-the-art hangar provides essential space and facilities for Air Corps aircraft technicians to conduct comprehensive daily inspections, ensuring the continued safety and reliability of the EAS.
