613. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide details of the empty buildings, by county, in his Department’s portfolio; the value of the property; the length of time they have lain empty; and the physical status of each building, in tabular form. [6224/25]

One property is being prepared for sale.

Clonkeelaun This department is currently working with Tailte Eireann to value each of these sites. These lands were acquired by the former Irish Land Commission at various times over the years. They are in the main bog lands that are subject to turbary /grazing rights.

The lands have remained as was since they were acquired by this department following the abolition of the Irish Land Commission under the Irish Land Commission (Dissolution) Act 1992.
These former Irish land Commission lands were acquired for allotment purposes only and not intended for development. They were on hand when the Irish Land Commission was abolished in 1992 and have remained so since.
* Valuations of individual properties are not carried out regularly. Valuations are completed by Tailte Eireann for the purposes of determining Rent reviews or market rental valuations when required. Valuations due later in 2025.
