146. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if the move announced by the Department of Social Protection to commence changes in remote work practices on 1 February 2025 was solely confined to that Department; and if not, if any other Government Department issued a communication to all workers, group of workers or worker relating to changes in remote and flexible work arrangements policy. I am not in position to comment on the work practices, policies, or communications of other Government Departments in relation to remote working.

This Department published its first Blended Working policy in June 2022. That policy was revised and re-communicated to all staff in June 2023.

No communication around changes in remote or blended working practices in this Department has been issued in 2025. Staff have, however, been kept informed about progress of the second review of the Department's blended working policy, which is currently underway and commenced with an all-staff survey in January.
