The NAMA Commission of Investigation was established in June 2017 following consultations with Oireachtas parties to investigate the sale by NAMA of its Northern Ireland portfolio, known as Project Eagle.
On 4 October 2024, the Commission submitted its substantive report on the Project Eagle transaction to the former Taoiseach. The substantive report has been referred to the Attorney General’s Office for review and it is intended to publish the report shortly subject to legal advice.
The Commission’s investigation is now complete other than finalising awards of costs to witnesses. According to the Commission’s 20th Interim Report, which was published and laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas in December 2024, the Commission expects to complete this work before the end of April 2025.
