As Minister for Transport, I wish to advise the Deputy of the following titles of the Ministers of State at my Department:

• Mr. Seán Canney, TD - Minister of State with responsibility for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports.
• Mr. Jerry Buttimer, TD - Minister of State with responsibility for Rural Transport.

The Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977, provides for the delegation of a Minister's powers and duties to Minister(s) of State by Order made by the Government at the request of the Minister concerned. The Act also makes clear that the Minister remains responsible to Dáil Éireann for the exercise or performance of any powers or duties delegated to a Minister of State.

In this regard, I will work with the Ministers of State, and relevant officials in my Department, to determine which statutory functions are to be included in any Delegation of Functions Order(s) required, in line with the respective areas of responsibility of the Ministers of State. Once agreed, my officials will work with the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel to the Government (OPC) to settle any draft Order(s), before seeking final Government approval to make the Order(s).

Thereafter, the Order will be published in the Iris Oifigiúil, and made available to view on the Irish Statute Book website:

Though no functions have formally been delegated as of yet, I wish to advise the Deputy that the attributable budget(s) under the various headings and sub-headings of my Department can be viewed in the Revised Estimates for the Public Services 2025, available here:
