The Central Statistics Office compiles statistical data in relation to Goods Exports and Imports. According to the CSO in 2023 Ireland’s goods trade with Hong Kong was valued at €625 million, with goods exports from Ireland of €544 million and goods imports of €81 million.
The principal goods exports from Ireland to Hong Kong in 2023 were in the following categories Stents, Pacemakers, Digital Media etc, Computers, Computer Parts and Storage Devices, and Medical & Pharmaceutical Products.
The principal goods imports from Hong Kong to Ireland in 2023 were in the categories, Telecoms & Sound Equipment, Misc plastic, Stents, and Electronic components and Integrated Circuits.
Services Imports from Hong Kong in 2023 were valued at €1,055 million but the value of services exports in 2023 is not available due to confidentiality reasons.
In the first half of 2024 Jan – July the value of goods trade with Hong Kong was €393 million up 13% in comparison to January – July 2023. With Goods imports of €31 million down – 37% in comparison to January to July 2023. The Service data for 2024 is not available at this time.
