1413. To ask the Minister for Health the number of long-term nursing home beds in the system for both private and public facilities in County Meath for each of the past ten years to date; if there are plans to create additional capacity with further investment in the public and private nursing home system; the current number waiting to access both public and private nursing homes in the county, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is an operational matter I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.

To ask the Minister for Health the number of elderly persons who could not be discharged from Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan despite being medically approved for discharge due to no suitable alternative healthcare facility being available; the longest time an elderly person or persons remained at the hospital beyond their medically approved discharge date during this same period; the average time it takes for an older person to be transferred to a nursing home or convalescence facility when medically approved to be discharged from the hospital to any such facility, in each of the past five years, in tabular form [46766/24]
