1285. To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if funding can be restored for an organisation (details supplied) where it is looking to have a post reinstated to full-time that has been cut to part-time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1993/25]

I am very pleased to have secured a 9% increase in youth service funding for 2025, bringing my Department's investment under our main youth budget subhead to a total of €84.9 million. This represents a very substantial increase over the course of my time as Minister. Over the period from 2021 to 2025, the level of current Exchequer funding for youth services and programmes will have increased by over 34%.

This increased level of funding has enabled the expansion of youth services' capacity to engage more young people, across both universal and targeted youth services.

The organisation in question receives funding from my Department under the Youth Services Grant Scheme (YSGS). The organisation's YSGS grant increased from just over €102,000 to just over €115,000 over the period 2021 to 2024, a 13% increase. As part of the overall increase to youth funding under Budget 2025, I am pleased to be able to confirm that a further 5.5% increase has been allocated to the YSGS this year.
