To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of contracts (details supplied) had with his Department in 2023 and to-date in 2024; the nature of services this company provided to his Department; and the amount his Department paid this company for same in each of the years in question. My Department considers engaging consultancy services in cases where there is not the necessary expertise to deliver a project in-house, in cases where an external assessment is deemed essential, or in cases where a project must be completed within a short time scale, and although the expertise or experience may be available in-house, performing the task would involve a prohibitive opportunity cost whilst adhering to the public procurement guidelines from D/PENDPR.
In 2023, €31,852.50 was paid to Cruinn Advisory, this amount excludes Professional Services Withholding Tax. The payment was for consultancy services provided in respect of the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs Report titled “Researching and Forecasting the Current and Future Skills Needs of the Bio-pharma Sector in Ireland to 2027.
So far in 2024, no payments have been made to Cruinn Advisory.
