The Approved Form (AF 1) supplied is used to notify the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) of any construction work as defined in the Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013, which is likely to last longer than 30 working days or 500 person days. It can also be used to provide changes in appointments since initial notification of projects.

As the construction sector has a very significant accident rate, research indicates that a significant level of risk can be designed out prior to the commencement of the activity. The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 places duties on the Client to notify the HSA of the appointment of the Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP).

This notification should be submitted by Registered Post to the HSA, or as may be directed by the HSA. Information is also available on www.HSA.ie.

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and the HSA have not had any involvement in the erecting of this notice at this location, nor is there any regulatory requirement to do so.
