SEAI’s Triple E Register is a list of products approved as being energy efficient. It should be noted that for equipment to be placed on the Triple E Register, the manufacturer of the equipment itself must submit an application to the SEAI on behalf of said equipment.
The application is then reviewed and, if successful, approved and placed on the register.
The Triple E register is maintained by the SEAI directly and as such the Department of Transport has no role in the management of the Register nor in the approval process of any particular EV or other products.
If the manufacturer of a piece of equipment such as an EV wishes to receive an update on the progress of any application they have submitted, they should contact the SEAI directly.

The EV Home Charger Grant is a government funded support scheme assisting residents and homeowners to install an electric vehicle charge point on their property.
While funding for this grant scheme is provided by Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland within the Department of Transport, it is operated and administered by the SEAI. The Department of Transport has no role in decisions made on individual applications.
For that reason, it is advised that the person in question should contact SEAI directly and provide all relevant details.
