Coimisiún na Meán have an approved staffing sanction of 205 posts of which 10 are currently vacant.

Section 10 of the Broadcasting Act 2009, as amended, provides that Coimisiún na Meán shall be independent in the performance of its functions. Further details as to the level of each vacancy and full year cost of filling these vacancies are operational matters for Coimisiún na Meán. From 2025, almost all of Coimisiún na Meán's costs will be funded through industry levies.
