2034.To ask the Minister for Rural and Community Development to provide a list of the names of each special adviser employed by his Department since 2020; the Minister and Minister of State whom each adviser is associated with, and their respective salaries, in tabular form; the areas of expertise covered by such advisers; and if she will make a statement on the matter.[34938/24]

The Department of Rural and Community Development was established on 19th July 2017, with Michael Ring TD appointed as Minister and serving in office until 27th June 2020. The tables below outline the advisors employed for the period to 27th June 2020 and the advisors appointed subsequent to that.

The areas covered by my own advisor are many, and include the provision and oversight of press information, advising on external communications, oversight of briefing material including for Order of Business purposes, and liaison with similar advisors across Government. The areas covered by the advisor to Minister of State Joe O’Brien TD are also many, and include assisting in management of the overall work programme, provision of advice and briefing on policy matters and Oireachtas matters, attendance at relevant Senior Official Group and Cabinet Committees, and liaison with similar advisors across Government.
