The National Monuments Service is the focal point for the 1972 World Heritage Convention in Ireland and as such, keeps the UNESCO World Heritage Centre informed of all pertinent matters relating to Ireland's two World Heritage Properties, Brú na Bóinne and Sceilg Mhichíl. The 2023 Progress Tracker for Brú na Bóinne’s Management Plan can be viewed at: worldheritageireland.ie/home/
Substantial research has been and continues to be undertaken within the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Property since the publication of the first Research Framework. It will take time for all of this to be assessed, collated and analysed. This will support and inform a revised Management Plan and future research strategies for Brú na Bóinne. The target date for a review of the Research Framework is 2027.
