551.To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the estimated full-year cost of hiring an additional thirty Workplace Relations Commission inspectors. [31421/24]

Workplace Relations Commission inspectors are employed at Executive Officer level, the pay scale for Executive Officers, as of 1st June 2024 (PPC), starts at €36,044, rising to €58,834 following receipt of Long Service Increment 2. WRC Inspectors are also entitled to a Labour Inspector Allowance (PPC) of €9,764 per annum.

The cost of employing thirty additional inspectors at Executive Officer grade, including employer salary, PRSI and the Labour Inspector Allowance, is approximately €1,493,730 in their first year.

Assumptions:

1. Figures based on starting point of the relevant grade for all positions.
2. Provision included for Employer PRSI calculated at 11.05%.
3. Costs are exclusive of onboarding and recruitment costs.
