33. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to provide an update on an application by a person (details supplied) for a work permit; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26350/24]

The Employment Permits Section of my Department informs me that a General Employment Permit application for the person concerned in the details supplied was received on 10th May 2024. On 15th May 2024 the application was formally accepted and placed in the processing queue.

Applications for employment permits are dealt with in date order. As of 14th June 2024, the Employment Permits Section are processing new applications in respect of standard employers which were received on 7th May 2024. Therefore, it is expected that the application concerned will be considered shortly.
