As the Deputy may be aware, I introduced the Liming Programme in spring of last year to incentivise the use of lime, a natural soil conditioner which corrects soil acidity, makes nutrients more available for plant uptake, and improves overall soil health.

Administration checks and payments are continuing, with an 85% advance payment being made as claims are cleared. The final balancing payment will issue at a later date after the spreading deadline of Friday 28th June.

Our records show that an advance payment will be made to the person named later this week.
