264. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if an application for a State pension in the name of a person (details supplied) will be expedited and approved as three applications have been submitted to date, two of which have been misplaced in the Department. [52503/22]

The person concerned reached pension age on 30 May 2022. An application for state pension (non-contributory) was received on 10 October 2022. There is no record of any previous state pension (non-contributory) application(s) received by my Department.
The person concerned has been awarded state pension (non-contributory) with effect from 3 June 2022 and was notified, in writing, of this decision on 14 October 2022. Payment of arrears due will issue to the person concerned shortly.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
